Prelingual deafness: Deafness that occurs before learning speech or language.
Post-lingual Hearing Loss: Deafness that develops after language development
Residual Hearing: The amount of hearing a person with hearing loss has without the use of hearing aids or cochlear implants
Unilateral Hearing Loss: A type of hearing impairment where there is normal hearing in one ear and impaired hearing in the other.
Bilateral Hearing Loss: Hearing loss in both ears
